What We Do

PACE works to cultivate an environment where youth, accomplished artists, and everyone in between can enjoy themselves and explore their own creativity. Whether it's discovering Council Bluffs' rich history through one of our speaker series, participating in an art class, or attending a theater or orchestra production, we invite the community to join us as we transform the arts in the region.

The following annual programming is available through PACE at low or no-cost to the public:

CHANTICLEER COMMUNITY THEATER / Chanticleer, managed by PACE, has five theater productions with over 32 performances. In addition, we provide several children's theater workshops.

KANESVILLE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA / KSO managed by PACE, hosts three concerts annually.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS / PACE has over 150 affordable classes and programs for youth, adults, and families. Classes include pottery, painting, photography, and culinary arts.

GALLERY EXHIBITIONS / PACE curates the nearly 8,500 square-foot Exhibition and Gallery Floor, which includes our Grant Wood murals, traveling exhibits, and works from local artists.

ARTISTS STUDIOS / PACE subsidizes five artist studios where artists are encouraged to create and participate in art exhibitions and teach classes and workshops.

HOFF FOURTH FRIDAYS / PACE facilitates Friday night events bringing together the best of Hoff Center including Kitchen Council entrepreneur food pop-ups, local live music, and educational opportunities like Mud & Merlot and our PACE Speaker Series. It is THE place to be in Council Bluffs!

COMMUNITY PROGRAMS / PACE hosts programs to activate community spaces, including the Music in the Park series.

PUBLIC ART / PACE partners with local artists to help to improve the image and identity of our community.
