Omaha ForUs believes when LGBTQ+ individuals are empowered & informed, we can best bridge gaps in care, culture, community, and service to one another. Through place-based community development, we create intentional community and equitable space, because there can be 'nothing about us, without us,'

Establish physical space, enriching programming, and comprehensive networks of care in service to LGBTQ+ individuals & families of eastern Nebraska, western Iowa.

- Omaha is one of only seven of the United States' Top 50 cities without an LGBTQ+ center.
- Two Nebraska studies show pervasive mental health concerns (80%), considering suicide (50%) and/or experiencing homelessness (25%), far more than non-LGBTQ+.
- A 2019 study shows strong desire for “inclusive, all-ages LGBTQ+ gathering space, not centered around alcohol,” of which none currently exist.
