Lusco Farms Donkey Rescue

We, Lusco Farms Rescue's purpose is to rescue donkeys, horses and mules that are either not being taken care of properly or at risk of.   Lusco Farms takes animals that are surrendered for reasons such as the owners can no longer care for the animals due to funding or health issues.  We rescue animals that have been abused, and the owners have been told by authorities that they have to surrender the animal.  Often times the animals we receive have not had the proper vet care in years or had their hooves trimmed for some time.  Lusco Farms works closely with a local Vet that helps us make sure we are taking the proper steps to making sure the animals get the treatment needed.  

Once the animals are in good health Lusco Farms puts the animals up for adoption and works to find the right fit for their future home.  Lusco Farms has a contract stating if the animal at any time cannot be taking care of any longer that the adopter has to surrender it back to us to find another home; they cannot be sold privately or at an animal auction.
