What We Do
L.I.F.E. (Local Iowa Food Empowerment) 5b is a group of Produce Growers and Food Producers whose goals are to increase Food Security by networking Growers and Producers to Distributors, Institutions and Consumers; assisting Growers and Producers increase Food Production and Processing; increasing consumer access to Fresh Foods; and spreading healthy eating habits through Education, Arts and Culture. L.I.F.E. 5b focuses on projects located in Fremont, Page, Taylor, Mills, Montgomery, Adams and Pottawattamie Counties in Iowa.
Interesting Info
- We distribute boxes of produce to individuals and families in need of food.
- We have a food pantry to meet emergency food situations (i.e. people who don't meet SNAP requirements but need occasional food assistance).
