What We Do

For over 25 years, Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates (iJAG) has worked with schools across Iowa to empower our youth—especially those who need us the most. Together with our valued partners, we help students not only succeed academically but also thrive personally and professionally, giving students the confidence and skills to step boldly into their future. While life circumstances can create obstacles to accessing resources, opportunities, and essential support systems, iJAG’s mission is to unlock potential and expand pathways to success. We are dedicated to ensuring that every young person—regardless of their background—becomes equipped, purpose-driven, and prepared to lead, overcoming challenges with confidence and skill.

iJAG offers an individualized approach that guides students through a structured path to career readiness. Partnering with KUDER Navigator ensures consistent statewide data, while collaboration with districts supports alignment and comprehensive student planning. Students identify career interests, skills, and values, building a foundation for purposeful exploration. With access to information on hundreds of careers, majors, and colleges, along with daily 1:1 classroom support, students make informed choices that match their strengths. Graduation planning and course mapping guide their academic journey, while work-based learning and job prep resources provide the skills for a smooth transition to college and careers.
