What We Do
The Harrison County Humane Society of Iowa serves to protect stray and unwanted dogs and cats, helping them find loving forever homes. We are home to 10 – 30 homeless pets on any given day and we are the only pet shelter in the entire county.
Interesting Info
- In 2019, we helped 140 animals find their forever homes and 52 animals were reclaimed.
- Our TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) program helped spay/neuter 90 cats in 2019.
- A Bissell grant we received, helped spay/neuter/vaccinate 170 animals of Harrison County residents.
