The Community Foundation for Western Iowa, formerly the Pottawattamie County Community Foundation, serves thousands of people who share a common interest - to improve the quality of life in Pottawattamie County and southwest Iowa. Like all community foundations across the United States, the Community Foundation for Western Iowa is overseen by a volunteer board of leading citizens and run by professionals with expertise in identifying the needs of their community.
- We are accredited through the Council of Foundations National Standards program and maintain the highest ethical and legal standards.
- We offer a 10% match (up to $250,000 per fund) as an additional contribution for the creation of a charitable endowment or donation to an existing eligible fund
- The Endow Iowa Tax Credit program allows donors who give to an Endow Iowa qualified fund to be eligible to receive a 25% tax credit.
