Our mission is to change the way America cares for children and families. Boys Town provides a wide range of services, each dependent on the individual needs of the child and their family.
We provide parents with tips, tools and advice through our website and social channels. We work with families in their homes, teaching caregivers parenting skills and how to access necessary resources to best provide for their families. We are in schools in almost every state, helping teachers deal with behavioral issues so they can focus more classroom time on teaching. When boys and girls need a higher level of care, we offer family-style residential homes and medically managed treatment centers.
In recent years, Crisis Counselors at the Boys Town National Hotline® (800-448-3000) prevented more than 2,700 active suicides in progress. Boys Town programs and services touch the lives of more than 2 million people nationwide every year. In addition, Boys Town conducts applied research that focuses on understanding the problems children and families face in today’s world and identifying the most effective ways to help them.
