In this supremely haunting play by Ireland's most esteemed playwright, which The Guardian called “Brian Friel's masterpiece,” a healer named Frank Hardy offers the promise of redemption to the sick and the suffering in the forgotten corners of Wales, Scotland, and Ireland. But his is an unreliable gift, a dangerous calling which brings him into conflict and confusion with his wife Grace, his manager Teddy, and Frank himself.
Their three different accounts of the same ragtag odyssey--each spoken directly to the audience in an intimate theatre space, contrast and contradict--mesmerizing audiences as they take in the humanity and passion of each of these intricate, searching characters.
NINE PERFORMANCES: March 7, 8, 9; 14, 15, 16, and 21, 22, 23. FRI/SAT @ 7:30; SUN @ 2:00.
