Join us for our 27th annual Remembrance Day event! You can help strengthen our community and honor the people and pets who live on in our hearts forever.
At The Collective for Hope, volunteers are truly the heart of what we do. From helping us set up and tear down, to facilitating activities for participants, your service at this special event will inspire hope, healing, and resilience for our community members.
WHAT IS A REMEMBRANCE EVENT?
For over 25 years, we have been proud to be the Omaha area's home for free and inclusive grief support. Our Remembrance Day is a chance for our community members to gather, create memorial crafts, enjoy special activities and vendors, and, most importantly, remember the lives of those important to us.
WHAT WILL VOLUNTEERS DO?
- We will have three volunteering shifts for the day of the event. Volunteers can choose their preferred timeframe(s) found below.
- We will also have a short meeting prior to the event on Wednesday, May 14th at 5:30pm. We will go over program, duties, role assignments, and answer any volunteer questions at this time. A summary of the meeting will be sent the following day.
SHIFT | SHIFT TIME |
Set-Up | 9:00am-10:45am |
Event | 10:45am-2:15pm |
Clean-up | 1:45pm-3:30pm |
WHY SHOULD YOU VOLUNTEER WITH US?
- We understand the time, energy, and commitment that volunteerism requires. At The Collective for Hope, we welcome all volunteers and prioritize their comfort.
- Volunteers at the event will receive a free t-shirt and be acknowledged during the speaking portion of the event.
- Volunteers may also submit photos of their important person(s) for our banner and receive a photo button (not required).
We look forward to working together towards our mission that no one has to grieve alone!
