Cantare!

Volunteer Opportunity:
Event Help at the Annual 12th Night Madrigal Dinner at Joslyn Castle
I'm Interested!

Cantare! is seeking four adults and youth, age 11 and up, to serve dinners, pour wassail punch, clear plates, wash plates and utensils and generally care for our dinner guests at the 2nd Annual 12th Night Madrigal Dinner at Joslyn Castle.

There are two nights to participate, Fri and Sat Jan 3rd and 4th, from 4:30-9:30pm. There is a technical rehearsal on Thursday Jan 2nd from 6-9pm that all staff must attend.

All servers will be in Renaissance costume that we provide (unless you have your own!)

Servers will be busy all evening serving 50-70 guests. You will also get to enjoy hearing the Madrigals being sung throughout the rooms. There will be Herald Trumpets, harp, a recorder consort, and a Mummers Play too. Even St. Nicholas will make an appearance! And YOU get to help make it a truly magical evening by making sure all guests have enjoyed their 3-course meal, and the dessert reception.

On the Friday night, once guests depart, you will help reset the table settings for the next night.

On Saturday night, you will help wash, box and pack all tableware into tubs and boxes. Our strongest helpers will take them out the back door to cars.

Last year's staff are returning and will be there to guide you. They also know just when you get to sneak a dessert bite!

If you are working to earn National Honor Society points, here is a chance to accumulate 13 hours, surrounded by music and celebration!
