Southwest Iowa Emergency Relief Fund

The Southwest Iowa Emergency Relief Fund will provide funding to organizations and services in Pottawattamie County that are filling basic human needs, rebuilding communities, and providing direct support to individuals and families.

Nonprofit organizations, city and county governmental organizations, and church groups that are on the frontline of relief efforts and working with the communities affected are encouraged to apply.

Women's Fund of Southwest Iowa

The Women's Fund of Southwest Iowa is the catalyst for lasting, positive change relative to the challenges facing the women of southwest Iowa.

Through purposeful planning, strategic insight, and collaborative needs-assessment within the communities that make up southwest Iowa, this endowed fund supports programming designed to improve the quality of life and well-being of women and their families.

There are four areas of focus for the Women's Fund of Southwest Iowa: Increased focus on STEM/STEAM educational initiatives, accessible and affordable childcare and early learning programming, services focused on women's health, safety, education, workforce equity and well bing, and programs and services designed to help women age gracefully in their communities.

Women's Fund grant applications are open May 15 - June 15.

Minden Iowa Community Fund

Minden Community Fund

The city of Minden, Iowa suffered catastrophic damage and loss from the April 26 tornadoes. As a response to the devastation, Minden residents created a fund this week at the Community Foundation to support efforts specifically for their community. 

The Minden Iowa Community Fund will support clean-up, rebuilding efforts, and future community betterment projects in Minden, Iowa.

Southwest Iowa Mental Health and Substance Abuse Fund

Mental Health and Substance Abuse Fund

The Mental Health and Substance Abuse Fund of Southwest Iowa is designed to increase and effectively manage available pools of funding to create long-term, sustainable and quantifiable positive impact through three focus areas: education; raising awareness; and providing learning and development opportunities for area service providers. The fund serves the following counties in Iowa: Cass, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie, and Shelby. 

The Southwest Iowa Mental Health and Substance Abuse Fund grant applications are open June 15 - July 15
